Reem Jacket PDF Sewing Pattern
Reem Jacket PDF Sewing Pattern
REEM is a light puffer/quilt jacket pattern with a mid-thigh length, collarless open neckline, and a drawstring waist. The straight-cut silhouette, featuring bust darts, ensures an elegant fit without compromising comfort. Explore variations A and C with bold 3D pockets, enhancing the waist with drawstrings, or opt for the discreet set-in welt and flap pockets in variations B and D. Choose between zip and button-down closures, ideal for snap buttons on waterproof jackets.
Fabric Recommendation: Craft your REEM jacket with light quilted puffer fabrics, quilted cotton, coating wool, denim, heavy twill, or other outerwear-friendly heavyweight fabrics. Variations A and C can use two sided quilted fabric and don't require a lining (except for pockets).
Skill Level: Suitable for intermediate-advanced sewers, the REEM pattern challenges you with multilayer fabrics, foldover elastic or binding finishes, detailed pockets, and the attachment of zippers or buttonholes. But nothing is impossible with the help of the video tutorials!
Measurements and Seam Allowances: Seam allowances are generally 1.5 cm (5/8"), annotated for each seam, ensuring accuracy in your creations.
